Valencia have exited the race for the former Spain
Under-21 international, paving the way for a potential move to
Middlesbrough in January
Paris Saint-Germain attacker Jese could be on his way to the Premier League, according to a report from Le Parisien.
It had been expected that he would move back to his native Spain on loan after a disappointing start to life in Ligue 1, yet Middlesbrough appear to have taken the lead in the chase for his signature.
The news will come as a blow to hometown club Las Palmas, who had also hoped to sign the attacker, who has only scored twice since making a big-money move to Paris in the summer.
Meanwhile, Valencia are said to have ducked out of the race for the ex-Spain Under-21 international over concerns over his wages.
